    The Information Society Watch (ISW) captures information society issues in the context of development needs of the South. It is intended for developing learning and knowledge-sharing platforms to help build perspectives for analysis, advocacy and action.


  2. Miscellaneous Mathematical Utilities

    This page contains links to several mathematical utilities. More will be added as I write them. The algorithms underlying these utilities come from the BLAS, EISPACK, and LINPACK collection of subprograms, written by some of the brightest mathematicians and computer scientists (I have cited sources when I found them). Those subprograms incorporate excellent basic algorithms and programming techniques to optimize the routines for speed and accuracy.

  4. Journal Ranking.COM

    Ranks 7,000 journals according to a new paradigm. Journal-ranking.com is perhaps the first and only online interactive journal ranking service in the world. The service allows users to configure their ranking interests, as well as provide a more reasonable method to evaluate a journal's impact.


  5. RoboBraille

    RoboBraille automates the translation of text documents into Braille and speech. The service is available free of charge to all non-commercial users.


  6. Science and Technology Facilities Council

    Formed by Royal Charter in 2007 (by combining CCLRC and PPARC), the Science and Technology Facilities Council is one of Europe's largest multidisciplinary research organisations supporting scientists and engineers world-wide. The Council operates world-class, large scale research facilities and provides strategic advice to the UK government on their development. It also manages international research projects in support of a broad cross-section of the UK research community. The Council also directs, coordinates and funds research, education and training.

    The cyberLibrary contains links to hundreds of websites chosen, described and organised by librarians from public library services across south-west England.


  10. The Map Archive

    The Map Archive is a large collection of ancient and modern maps, maintained by a non profit organization, the maps are gathered and submitted by volunteers, mainly students and University teachers. This project goal is to create the largest online collection of maps.


  11. AMS Digital Mathematics Registry

    The aim of the AMS-DMR is to provide centralized access to certain collections of digitized publications in the mathematical sciences. The registry is primarily focused on older material from journals and journal-like book series that originally appeared in print but now is available in digital form.

    This web site is dedicated to gather all scientific literature published in the web about the evaluation of the search engines, more particularly about the information retrieval effectiveness.


  13. Google SketchUp

    Google SketchUp is a powerful yet easy-to-learn 3D software tool that combines a simple, yet robust tool-set with an intelligent drawing system that streamlines and simplifies 3D design.


  14. Index Data: Open Content

    Index Data has launched a new service to help libraries expose open content resources to their users. The initial phase of this service offers ebooks, open access digital repositories, encyclopedia articles, and human-reviewed Internet resources. This service is being offered without charge.


  15. Nature Network

    Nature Network is the online meeting place for you and fellow scientists to gather, talk and find out about the latest scientific news and events. Science is an international endeavor and deserves a global stage for discussion. Scientists can also benefit from interactions at the local level. That's why you'll see an increasing number of local city hubs on Nature Network, starting with Boston and London.


  16. Android 3.1

    Android 3.1 is an incremental platform release that refines many of the features introduced in Android 3.0.
