  4. NASA Space Telerobotics Program

The NASA Space Telerobotics Program is an element of NASA's ongoing research program, under the responsibility of the Office of Space Science. The program is designed to develop telerobotic capabilities for remote mobility and manipulation, by merging robotics and teleoperations and creating new telerobotics technologies.

The NASA Space Telerobotics Program was shut down in 1997, and the research and technology development task supported by the program were transferred to other efforts. This site is kept on line for historical purposes and as a reference for the robotics community. It reflects the state of robotics technology as it was at the end of the program in 1997, and not the current NASA efforts in robotics technology and space system development.

  5. Cool Robot Of The Week

"The honor of being listed as "Cool Robot Of The Week" is bestowed upon those robotics-related web sites which portray highly innovative solutions to robotics problems, describe unique approaches to implementing robotics system, or present exciting interfaces for the dissemination of robotics-related information or promoting robotics technology. This award carries absolutely no monetary value, official recognition, assumed support, or tangible benefit, other than swamping your web site with a few dozen extra hits for a week. But everyone else was putting up their "Cool Site Of The Millenia" lists, so we figured it was our turn too..."

  6. Design and Technology on the WEB

This site has gathered information together to help all Technology students and will be keen to hear of any suggestions for topics on which you would like advice or help. Pages are updated and will guide you to a vast amount of material prepared by many others on many different sites. If you find any mistakes or if you find any failed 'links' to other sites - or great web addresses that you want to share, please let us know. Gallery work will be added as frequently as possible.

  7. Design & Technology Resource Page

"This website has been setup by a teacher for teachers. Concerned with 'Resistant Materials education'. The site is updated at least once a month when possible."

  8. CollectOs.Com

Historical Posters - covering areas such as film and adverts. Excellent resource for those studying poster design.

  9. Tenlinks

An extremely helpful site for professional technologists. Including engineers, architects, software engineers etc..

TenLinks, Inc. is an online CAD, CAM and CAE media company. Founded in 1999 with TenLinks.com, TenLinks has grown into a network of websites and newsletters that together form the largest community of CAD, CAM and CAE users on the Internet.

  10. eg3.com

eg3.com is the oldest and largest web resource devoted to electronic design, specifically embedded systems, realtime, and dsp. founded in late 1994, eg3.com indexes the free and non-commercial design information on the net, summarizes the over 800 vendor companies that make up this marketplace, and organizes the content of major chip companies and third party vendors into a searchable "design tool" for ee's and designers.

  11. Robotics Resources from J. Fuller

"Jim Fuller provides numerous suggestions for teachers working with robotics. He has developed a Robotics Kit for teachers and students who are looking for cheaper alternatives to the commercially available kits. Although he does not make these plans available through his website, you can email him to obtain it."

  12. The Tech Museum of Innovation

The Tech Museum of Innovation engages people of all ages and backgrounds in exploring and experiencing the technologies affecting their lives, and aims to inspire the innovator in everyone. An expansive variety of interactive exhibits and unique floor programs showcase not just how technology works, but how it affects who we are and how we live, work, play and learn.

  13. Tech Museum: Robotics Sensing Thinking Acting

"Robotics was designed to introduce the science behind the design and operation of robots. After interacting with the exhibit, you will be able to 1. Define a robot as a machine that gathers information about its environment (senses) and uses that information (thinks) to follow instructions to do work (acts). 2. Recognize the advantages and limitations of robots by comparing how robots and humans sense, think, and act by exploring uses of robots in manufacturing, research and everyday settings. 3. Understand your connection with technology and create an excitement about science and math that will prepare you for a workplace in which computer, robotics, and automation are common and essential."

  14. The Robot Zoo

The Robot Zoo is a traveling exhibit that reveals the biomechanics of giant robot animals to illustrate how real animals work. Nature's engineering and human technology converge in this exciting exhibit, which features giant robot animals and more than a dozen hands-on activities!

  15. The Telecommunications and Information Technology Institute

The Telecommunications and Information Technology Institute (IT2) is funded by the State of Florida, industry and federal government. The Institute was founded in 2000 by people who had a vision to promote interfacing between disciplines and serve as an intellectual cross-fertilization catalyst critical to the activities of telecommunications and information technology. It is through this vision that the importance and success of the telecommunication and information technology area, in a broader sense, is best appreciated.
