  1. Alliance for Digital Progress (ADP)

    The Alliance for Digital Progress (ADP) is a broad-based alliance of consumer groups, think tanks, taxpayer organizations and businesses. ADP strongly supports the protection of intellectual property, including digital entertainment content. It believes that private-sector collaboration among the technology, consumer electronics and content industries creates the most effective tools to combat digital piracy.


  2. Armenia-ICT for Democracy

    The development objective of the project is to contribute to the formation and development of information society in Armenia, put the information and communication technologies to the service of consolidation of democracy in the country, and create conditions, by the establishment and implementation of e-governance systems, for more efficient public administration, enhanced participation, heightened democratic principles of governance, transparency, and decreased corruption.


  3. Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM)

    Association for Women in Mathematics! The purpose of the Association for Women in Mathematics is to encourage women and girls to study and to have active careers in the mathematical sciences, and to promote equal opportunity and the equal treatment of women and girls in the mathematical sciences.


  4. Commonwealth Network of Information Technology for Development

    COMNET-IT is an independent international foundation that aims to promote and develop national and sectoral informatics strategies among Commonwealth countries, with an emphasis on E-government. It is sponsored by the Government of Malta and the Commonwealth Secretariat.

    This site promotes the sharing of information and communication Technology (ICT) policies and practices amongst the Commonwealth States.


  5. Digital Future Coalition

    The Digital Future Coalition (DFC) is committed to striking an appropriate balance in law and public policy between protecting intellectual property and affording public access to it. The DFC is the result of a unique collaboration of many of the nation's leading non-profit educational, scholarly, library, and consumer groups, together with major commercial trade associations representing leaders in the consumer electronics, telecommunications, computer, and network access industries.


  6. DigitalGovernance.org Initiative

    The DigitalGovernance.org Initiative was founded in September 2000 to understand how Information and Communications Technology (ICT) can make a difference in lives of people living in developing countries. It is a non-funded initiative, which aims to inspire policymakers, technocrats, researchers, NGOs, UN and other development agencies worldwide. It focuses on developing countries where ICT can play a significant role in building accountable and democratic governance institutions.


  7. Digital Media Association (DiMA)

    DiMA is a national trade organization devoted primarily to the online audio and video industries. DiMA promotes pro-consumer competitive opportunities that will contribute to the growth and enjoyment of digital content; supports the development of responsible measures to protect intellectual property rights underlying with digital media; and opposes technical and legal barriers that inhibit innovation or the adoption of new digital technologies, products and services.


  8. eGovernance Standards Portal

    The Government of India has launched the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) with the intent to support the growth of e-governance within the country. The Plan envisages creation of right environments to implement G2G,G2B,G2E and G2C services.

    The e-Governance Standards portal ( http://egovstandards.gov.in ) provides a platform for password protected sharing of ideas, knowledge, and draft documents among the members of various committees involved in standards formulation process. It also has a provision for web publishing of draft documents for review comments by the closed user group and the Public.

  10. Free Software Directory

    The Free Software Directory is a project of the Free Software Foundation (FSF) and United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). We catalog useful free software that runs under free operating systems-particularly the GNU operating system and its GNU/Linux variants.

  12. International Intellectual Property Alliance (IIPA)

    The International Intellectual Property Alliance (IIPA) is a private sector coalition formed in 1984 to represent the U.S. copyright-based industries in bilateral and multilateral efforts to improve international protection of copyrighted materials. IIPA is comprised of seven trade associations, each representing a significant segment of the U.S. copyright community. These member associations represent 1,900 U.S. companies producing and distributing materials protected by copyright laws throughout the world-all types of computer software including business applications software and entertainment software (such as videogame CDs and cartridges, personal computer CD-ROMs and multimedia products); theatrical films, television programs, home videos and digital representations of audiovisual works; music, records, CDs, and audiocassettes; and textbooks, tradebooks, reference and professional publications and journals (in both electronic and print media).

    The itmWEB Site, founded in 1996, is a vast independent collection of tools, news, features, and resources built for information technology professionals. These range from systems development and programming content, to methodology and project management papers, to high quality news sources and technology links. The site is also home to the highly regarded monthly eZine known as the itmWEB Information Technology Report.

  15. Privacy International

    Privacy International (PI) is a human rights group formed in 1990 as a watchdog on surveillance and privacy invasions by governments and corporations. PI is based in London, England, and has an office in Washington, D.C. We have campaigned across the world to protect people against intrusion by governments and corporations that seek to erode this fragile right. We believe that privacy forms part of the bedrock of freedoms, and our goal has always been to use every means to preserve it.


  16. Research Center on Information Technology and Participatory Democracy (CITIDEP)

    CITIDEP is a private, non-profit, multi-national research institution, whose primary objective is to study participatory democracy, in particular through the research, development and demonstration of new information technologies, of their impacts, and of ethical, social, political and planning frameworks that enable participatory mechanisms in the information society.


  17. SIIA's Anti-Piracy Division

    The Software & Information Industry Association's Anti-Piracy Division conducts a comprehensive, industry-wide campaign to fight software and content piracy. The pro-active campaign is premised on the notion that one must balance enforcement with education in order to be effective.

    The UNESCO Free Software Portal gives access to documents and websites which are references for the Free Software/Open Source Technology movement. It is also a gateway to resources related to Free Software.

    The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations. It is dedicated to developing a balanced and accessible international intellectual property (IP) system, which rewards creativity, stimulates innovation and contributes to economic development while safeguarding the public interest.


  20. ZapMeta

    ZapMeta is a meta-search engine, a search tool that provide users the ability of simultaneously search multiple search engines under one interface. Meta-search engines benefit users by saving them time and effort from having to individually visit multiple search engines in order to find the desired result. Along with web search, ZapMeta currently offer a directory based on data from The Open Directory Project and Product Search powered by Pricegrabber.
