    IndiaInnovates.com is a one-stop portal to involve professionals in the value chain of developing an innovation from the grassroots level to a successful business venture. We aim to develop an online community of like minded stakeholders willing to share their professional expertise on terms suitable to them.


  2. Foundation for Revitalization of Local Health Traditions

    The institutional agenda of the Foundation for Revitalisation of Local Health Traditions (FRLHT) is derived from its vision: "to revitalize Indian medical". FRLHT has identified three thrust areas to fulfill this vision. These are: i) Conserving natural resources used by Indian Systems of Medicine, ii) Demonstrating contemporary relevance of theory and practice of Indian Systems of Medicine, iii) Revitalisation of social processes (institutional, oral and commercial) for transmission of traditional knowledge of health care for its wider use and application.


  3. Technopreneur Promotion Programme (TePP)

    As a new initiative during 1998-99, the Ministry of Science & Technology has launched a novel programme, known as 'Technopreneur Promotion Programme (TePP)' jointly operated by the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR) under its plan scheme Programme Aimed at Technological Self-Reliance (PATSER) and the Department of Science and Technology (DST) under its Home Grown Technology Programme (HGTP) of Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC) to tap the vast existing innovative potentials of the citizen of India.


  4. Andhrapradesh Technology Development and promotion Centre (APTDC)

    Technology has become an essential tool for achieving competitiveness for the industry in today's business environment. Small & Medium scale Enterprises (SMEs) can hardly afford their own individual R&D and therefore, it is necessary to nurture and support SMEs by way of technological upgradation.

    By analyzing the technology upgradation needs in the State as a whole, Andhra Pradesh Technology Development & Promotion Centre (APTDC) is established under the joint participation of the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Technology Information, Forecasting & Assessment Council (TIFAC- an autonomous society under the Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India).


  5. Techn2Transfer.com

    Tech2Transfer is an initiative of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) The Apex Industry Association in India and United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) International Centre for Advancement of Manufacturing Technology (ICAMT).

    Object of initivative is rapid changes in the scientific and technological fields are making it almost impossible for industries, more so in the developing countries, to cope with the pace of the change. Moreover, the paucity of the public institutions / universities making available commercialisable technologies and lack of technology facilitation support systems, make the task difficult.


  6. Innovation Portal

    The innovation portal is meant for all users with an interest in Innovation, whether they are the innovators or the industry which will incorporate the innovations or the end users of the innovation.


  7. Initiative for Research & Innovation in Science (IRIS)

    Intel has joined hands with the Department of Science and Technology (DST) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to jointly promote inventions and innovations among students and youth in India. This is aimed at accelerating Intel India's ongoing effort towards encouraging young inventors in India.

    'IRIS-Initiative for Research & Innovation in Science', an Intel-DST-CII initiative, is the merger of two programs the Intel Science Talent Discovery Fair and Steer the Big Idea. It is India's largest science initiative for students involving Government and private partnership. The merger creates THE Science Fair of India and achieves a higher level of reach across schools, colleges, labs and research institutions in the country.


  8. Lenovo Corporate Innovation Center - Mumbai

    The Center leverages engineers, programmers, product developers, and sales and marketing professionals to collaborate in multi-day developmental projects with customers from throughout the world. The Center will create an incubation environment for the design, creation, validation, proof of concept, and deployment of new personal computing solutions.

    Lenovo is synonymous with PC innovation. Intel, LANDesk and Microsoft are founding partners in Lenovo's Innovation Center. The founding partners see this facility as an opportunity to collaborate to offer customers new PC solutions.


  9. Incubator, Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram

    Technoparks primary mandate is to promote entrepreneurship and employment in the region. Towards furthering this objective, Technopark has launched a business incubator facility christened 'Technopark Business Innovation Centre' (T-BIC).


  10. Ekta Incubation Centre, West Bengal University of Technology

    Ekta Incubation Centre has become operational from December 1, 2005. This centre proposes to build on competencies of its own resources and those of the networked incubator Entrepreneurship Development Cell(EDC) at St. Xavier's College, Kolkata. EDC has been inaugurated on the 15th of Nov 2003, and became fully operational from the 15th of December 2003.

    The advantages of Incubation and Innovation need not be emphasized. Unfortunately such activities in Incubation in this region comprising of the states of West Bengal (7 Universities), Orissa, Bihar, Tripura, Assam & The North Eastern States is non-existent, except for the Science Park within the Indian Institute of Technology at Kharagpur located at the Western part of West Bengal. There is immediate need to create, develop and sustain an eco-system that facilitates incubation and Innovation in Academic centres of excellence. It is also necessary to create a Partnership between Industry and Academia.


  11. SAP Labs India, Bangalore

    SAP's second largest research and development center and strategic hub for services and support in the Asian region. Since its inception in 1998, SAP Labs India established itself across SAP's full value chain very quickly. Set to contribute over 20% to global R&D and services and support by the end of 2006, over 3000 employees of SAP in India are engaged in collaborative software engineering that facilitates the delivery of innovative business solutions across Research & Breakthrough Innovation, Product and Technology Development, Production, Global Services & Support, Sales Support, and Customer Solutions & Operations.


  12. TCS Innovation Labs

    The TCS Innovation Labs provide a unique experience centre where new domain solutions can be developed, incubated and piloted using the latest technologies in a cost-effective environment before enterprise-wide deployment. They give TCS customers 'on-demand' access to innovation and creativity with a team comprising of domain experts, business process analysts, technology specialists and a R&D team.


  13. Embedded Systems Research Lab

    This group was setup at Bangalore in 2002, and focuses on research in the areas of VLSI, 4th Generation Wireless, Multimedia Search Engine, Low Power Designs and Adaptive Embedded Systems.


  14. TCS Retail Lab

    The TCS Retail Lab - Chennai is also known as the TCS Smart Store.

    The TCS Smart Store initiative is the hallmark of TCS' retail research and development. In our continuing effort to provide best-in-class solutions, we invest in innovation to solve the retailer's most pressing challenges.


  15. Travel and hospitality Innovating Park

    The TCS Innovation Lab for Travel & Hospitality caters to the needs of global airlines, hotels, resorts and travel companies, providing a unique experience centre where new domain solutions can be developed, incubated and piloted using the latest technologies in a cost-effective environment before enterprise-wide deployment. The Travel & Hospitality Lab in Chennai is building a wide range of 'reusable assets & components' that help airlines retain their differentiators as well as achieve high productivity and significant cost savings from technology investments.


  16. TCS Technology Innovation Lab (iLab)

    The Technology Innovation Lab (iLab), established at Delhi in 2005, focuses on emerging technologies that could drive disruptive changes in the global technology industry, and develops reusable solutions frameworks based on these. The current focus is on emerging technologies such as Grid Computing, Natural Language Interface and Service Oriented Architectures. iLab will explore other emerging technologies targeted at current and future business requirements of customers.


  17. Advanced Technology Centre

    Advanced Technology Center (ATC) carries out R&D in several areas broadly related to secure communication, encryption and Life Sciences. ATC has designed a complete Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) for issuing digital certificates, generation and verification of digital signatures, and other related aspects of secure transactions.


  18. CMC R&D Lab

    CMC's state-of-the-art innovation centre in Hyderabad, India, conducts research in areas on the very frontiers of technology, and gives a cutting edge to CMC's operations. The centre, which is an integral part of CMC's medium to long-term strategy, develops special hardware and software products which form the building blocks of the turnkey solutions offered by CMC. Some of CMC's offerings have found acceptance as standalone products.


  19. RFID Lab

    Key focus of the lab is to develop competencies, assets, best practices and demonstrable solutions using RFID technology. The lab is supported by a core team of experienced RF engineers, middleware experts, solution architects who keep themselves updated with the latest technology developments.


  20. Performance Engineering Innovation Lab

    The Performance Engineering Innovation Lab was set up in August 2006 with the mission of creating assets to automate performance within TCS delivery, and deliver high performance technology components as part of TCS solutions and products.
